The opener broke with the 2nd use.

I was impressed with the ability to store the opener in small compartment because of its ability to retract. I was disappointed when it broke on the 2nd use. It appears that a pin with the reach bars popped out. We are now shopping for another bar in the midst of the camping season.

Awning Opener is Flimsy and Difficult to Use

I like that this awning opener slides together to a very short length. However, the telescoping rods need to be thicker because you can't put much pressure on it or it might come apart. I found that it is difficult to pull down and push up the locking latch on the side. After you get that open, it is also hard to get the end to go into the strap loop to pull down the awning. When it is down and you want to close it, of course the loop is easy to reach and put in the rod. It works if I am careful but sometimes I have to stand on a stool to accomplish the opening tasks.I should have bought a sturdier awning pull.

worked a good until it broke after just a few times using it. Recommend manufacturer make a better product that doesnt break
