Hard to assemble

I just received and installed these awning anchors. They look like they will work, but assembly was much more difficult than it needed to be. There is a large spring that connects between then ground screw anchor and the pull strap buckle. It is very difficult to insert the fabric loop of the buckle assembly on to the large spring. It took two of us to hold the large spring in a position to make a gap large enough to threat the loop on the spring - real pain. Also, the pull straps seem lighter duty than most other anchor kits I've seen. This may not be a problem, just an observation. Also, FYI, Amazon's description was vague, and I assumed that this kit was for a 'pair' of anchors, but was not entirely sure. Amazon's description & images should indicate that your are purchasing a set of anchors, one for each end of the awning.

great for awning

Had an issue with wind blowing my awning all over the place. Saw other campers with these and vowed to never camp without them again. Happy to see they were on Amazon and they work great. Used them a few times this summer and no major issues. One minor flaw was with the little metal stoppers inserted within the each strap...they fell off after the first use. Everything works fine...just have to watch for the hook not to fly off the end of the strap.

Wouldn't you know... first weekend camping with the RV and the wind really put this thing to the test. I felt really confident that the awning was safe and was not going to be hurt by the winds. Good value. Would recommend.
